Capax Installation in Glasgow City Centre
Giotto’s skilled workmen embrace new technologies and recently had the opportunity to work closely with Clark Contracts, LSA Projects Ltd and Archial Norr Architects on an exciting new development in the heart of Glasgow city centre.
This prestigious project for Weir Group PLC included Gustafs Scandinavia and their unique Capax installation system. Using Gustafs meant that non-standard edges can be used to provide elegant, beautiful curves that standard solutions simply cannot achieve.
The Weir Group PLC project was a category B fit out which generally involves cosmetic installation, making sure that the right visual impression is achieved rather than installing the basic fixtures and fittings. Timber veneer acoustic panelling was installed on the 9th and 10 floors of the Weir Group offices in Glasgow’s busy city centre, integrated alongside existing electronic, lighting and air conditioning systems.
The new offices feature a Scandinavian open plan design, with Gustafs and Oranit feature wall and ceiling panels and linear systems providing excellent long life, fire safety and acoustic properties throughout.
